The first step in determining which storage unit size is right for you, is knowing what you’ll be storing in it. If you’ve already planned what you’re going to put in storage, then you can jump ahead to the next step, which is to get all your smaller items in boxes. Knowing how many boxes you have to fit in your storage room will help you get a better idea of the size you need.

Remember: you want a room that’s big enough to hold your boxes and larger items, but also has enough room for you to move your things (and yourself) around in, comfortably.
